This Saturday (29 September) head on over to Kata Beach for Girls Go Surfing Day 2012.
It will be the first time the event has been held in Phuket and girls from all over South East Asia will be there, taking part in ‘learn to surf’ sessions and hitting the waves. Even if you’ve never been on a board before, you can still give it a go on Saturday – the main aim of the event is to encourage beginners to get out on the water.
If you’re not interested in surfing, Kata beach is still one of Phuket’s most beautiful beaches and there is plenty to do in the area. It’s about a 20 minute drive south of Patong.
The weather experts don’t seem too convinced that the rain will have stopped by Saturday – it’s expected to continue until at least Friday. Keep your fingers crossed for some sunshine so we can all make the most of the weekend!
