Patong Language School teachers all hold recognised TESOL/TEFL (Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language) qualifications, and are selected for their experience and friendly personalities. If you have booked private lessons, then your class will be one-on-one with your teacher. The size of group classes depends on the subject and level, but will be either a maximum of 6, 10 or 12 students.
If you miss a group class you will not have the opportunity to make it up, as the class will progress without you. You should always try to attend group lessons to make sure you don’t fall behind. If you are studying privately you can cancel classes by giving us at least 24 hours notice. This is acceptable a reasonable number of times in a course (normally twice). If you do not give us notice, then you will lose any classes you don’t attend.
Patong is a tourist resort, so if you don’t plan to do homework, then you will not get homework – there’s no need to go through a big pretence; you’re not in school anymore! Teachers will assign homework after every lesson if you prefer; just let us know.
