English for Thai learners

Patong Language School produces a series of 8 books for Thai learners which progress from Beginner through to Intermediate. Students then go on to the New Headway series (see below). Our books commence from the very basic learning of the alphabet, through sentence construction, use of adjectives and adverbs, telling the time, asking and answering questions, asking and giving directions, etc.

The books advance gradually, ensuring students receive a complete grounding in the use of basic, everyday English.

English for All

Patong Language School uses the best-selling New Headway series that combines the best of traditional methods with current teaching techniques. There are six levels of books:

• Beginner
• Elementary
• Pre-Intermediate
• Intermediate
• Upper-Intermediate
• Advanced

The books take a clear and structured approach to grammar. Grammatical structures are introduced in context, with questions that encourage students to work out the rules for themselves. A comprehensive ‘Grammar section’ at the back of the Student’s Books provides a useful reference before, during or after the lesson.

Workbooks at each level offer a range of exercises to revise and extend the grammar and vocabulary covered in the Student’s Book, plus extra related input where appropriate.

Thai language study books

Patong Language School produces books for learning conversational Thai using phonetics, as well as books for students who want to learn the Thai script. Students can choose whether to learn reading and writing Thai, or to concentrate on verbal skills (but you can change your mind at any time!).
