Qualifications

All teachers at Patong Language School have a bachelor’s degree or higher, have completed an approved teacher education program (TEFL, TESL, TESOL, CELTA, DELTA), and are licensed by the Thai Ministry of Education. We have ongoing internal training and our teachers regularly attend seminars and external training.

Nothing is more important than your teacher

Great language teachers make all the difference to your study progress, and that’s why PLS teachers all have specialist teaching qualifications. PLS runs its own teacher training centre, which allows us to screen every teacher for their personality and ability to motivate, as well as their teaching skills.

Inspirational teachers to motivate you

Patong Language School teachers are exceptional in their ability to inspire our students to learn. Unlike the memorisation lessons used at regular schools, PLS teachers strive to make learning interesting and fun for students.

The right teacher for you

Whilst all of our languages are taught by native-speaking teachers, our many years of teaching English to Thai students has shown us that some Thai students in the beginner and lower levels actually learn English faster if their classes are taught by qualified Thai instructors. That’s why, after careful training, we employ a number of Thai teachers. All other languages are taught exclusively by native speakers.
