There are a number of language schools in Phuket. Why should I study with PLS?

PLS has the experience and resources that other local schools cannot compete with. Our method has been used successfully for many years and is continuously improved by our teachers to ensure you always get the most out of your learning experience with us. Our study books are produced by us for use in the school and constantly revised and updated.

What qualifications do PLS teachers have?

PLS teachers all hold recognised TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) qualifications, and are selected for their experience and friendly personalities.

How many students will be in my class?

You will either study privately (one-on-one) or in a small group of students.

What if I have to miss a class?

If you miss a group class you will not have the opportunity to make it up.

If you are studying privately you can cancel classes by giving at least 24 hours notice. This is acceptable a reasonable number of times in a course (normally twice).

Will there be homework?

Patong is a tourist resort, so if you plan not do to homework, then you will not get homework - there's no need to go through a big pretence; you're not in school anymore!

Teachers will assign homework after every lesson if you prefer; just let us know.

Can I book in advance?

Yes, we are happy to take advance bookings. Just send us an e-mail or fax with your choice of language, preferred start date and time, and we will arrange a schedule. Once a schedule is agreed we will require a 50% deposit to hold the booking for you.

How can I pay a deposit for my classes?

We can accept payment by PayPal, credit card or bank transfer. Details can be found here.
