A festival for food? Now that’s my kind of festival!
Although the Phuket Good Taste Food Festival has been dishing up food and entertainment to locals for the past 15 years, most visitors to Phuket still don’t know about it. The week long festival starts today (Friday 14 September) so if you like Thai food, this is one to put in the diary.
Organisers are expecting around 100 different vendors so there will surely be something to tempt everyone’s tastebuds. Music, dance and comedy performances on stage will keep you entertained as you eat from your biodegradable container (no Styrofoam, they’re going “eco friendly”). You won’t find alcohol for sale this year but feel free to bring your own.
The festival will be held from 4pm to 11pm daily at Saphan Hin, a beautiful public park in Phuket Town. It’s also a great place to visit in the daytime for a picnic or a wander along the mangrove walkway. See you there!
