The long-awaited bus from Phuket International Airport to Patong launched today after much anticipation.
Until now, the only options to get to Patong from the airport have been either taxi (costing around 800 Baht) or shared minibus (costing around 150 Baht, plus a few stops on the way).
The new bus is now the cheapest option, at just 120 Baht per person – great news for visitors to Phuket! Along the way, buses stop at Muang Mai, Thalang Town, Tesco-Lotus Thalang, the Heroines Monument, Boat Lagoon, Tesco-Lotus Bypass and Kathu Town so you can hop on or off at any of those places.
According to the schedule the buses leave the airport daily at 8:15, 9:30, 10:15, 11:30, 12:30, 14:15, 15:30, 19:30 and 20:45, and from Patong (outside JJ Market on Pang Muang Sai Kor Road) headed for the airport at 8:00, 10:00, 11:00, 13:00, 14:30, 15:30, 17:00, 18:00 and 19:00.
